James Maddison has informed Leicester City that he wants to stay at the club despite interest from Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, according to a report in England.

The Daily Mail is reporting that the England international is happy to remain at Leicester less than 12 months after his move to the King Power Stadium from Norwich City.

The same article states that Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are preparing £60m bids for the 22-year-old playmaker after his impressive debut season in the Premier League.

According to the same story, Maddison isn’t concerned about the growing transfer speculation over his future at Leicester and the England international is even prepared to sign a new long-term deal with the 2016 Premier League champions.

The Daily Mail report goes on to add that Leicester could offer Maddison improved terms to keep the playmaker happy at the club.

Maddison scored seven goals and made seven assists in 30 games in the Premier League in the 2018-19 season to help Leicester finish in the top half of the table.

Leicester signed the highly-rated England midfielder in a £20m deal from Norwich City last summer after he was linked with a host of top Premier League teams.

Maddison netted 16 times in 53 games during his two seasons at Norwich.
