Man United have offered Juan Mata a new deal to convince him to stay at Old Trafford, say reports

Manchester United have offered Juan Mata a new contract in a bid to prevent the playmaker from moving to Spain, according to reports in the British media.
The Sun is reporting that the Red Devils are keen to keep hold of the playmaker beyond this summer despite his current contract being set to end a the end of the month.
As things stand, Mata would be able to walk away from Old Trafford and join another club on a free transfer at the end of the month, but it appears that Manchester United want him to star.
According to the same story, Manchester United have offered Mata a new contract in a bid to convince him to stay at the Old Trafford outfit.
The news comes after Manchester United confirmed the release of 15 players after their deals expired, including the likes of Ander Herrera and Antonio Valencia.
The 31-year-old Mata scored three goals and made two assists in 22 Premier League appearances for Manchester United last season.
He made a total of 30 appearances in all competitions for Manchester United last term.
The Red Devils are aiming to bounce back next term after they finished in sixth place in the Premier League table and without a trophy last season.
