Ryan Giggs raves about Man United’s first summer signing
Ryan Giggs is expecting big things from Daniel James at Man United in the coming seasons

Ryan Giggs has claimed that Daniel James is the quickest player he has ever seen in his “whole career” after the winger signed for Manchester United this week.
The 21-year-old penned a contract with the Red Devils on Wednesday after Manchester United agreed a fee with Swansea City to sign him last week.
James is Manchester United’s first signing of the summer transfer window and the Red Devils are believed to be on the lookout for a number of other recruits ahead of next season.
Giggs has worked with James at international level, and the former Manchester United midfielder has been suitably impressed by what he has seen from the winger.
Speaking in an interview quoted by Metro, Giggs said: “First of all, his best attribute is his speed.
“I mean, I’ve probably not seen anyone as quick as him in my whole career.
“That’s a big shout, because obviously I’ve played [with] and played against quick players.”
He continued: “He can play a number of positions – anywhere across the front three, really – and, this year, he’s played quite a bit for Swansea up front, which he’s not done a lot of in the past, but he’s looked comfortable.
“He’s a nightmare for defenders. He’s not that big, so it’s hard to get your arm across him. He’s both-footed, can score goals, create goals.”
James scored four goals and made seven assists in 33 Championship games for Swansea City last season.
Manchester United do not have the lure of Champions League football to attract potential signings this summer after they finished in sixth place in the table and without a trophy last term.
The Red Devils have not won the Premier League title since Sir Alex Ferguson’s final campaign in charge in the 2012-13 season.
Solskjaer was brought in as the club’s new manager following the sacking of Jose Mourinho back in December.
