Spurs are thought to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as Mauricio Pochettino looks to strengthen his squad ahead of the new campaign.
It was a solid season for Tottenham and they came within a whisker of winning their first major trophy under Pochettino before they suffered a 2-0 defeat by Liverpool FC in the Champions League final back at the start of the month.
Attentions will now turn to the summer transfer window and the possible players that Spurs could bring in to bolster their ranks.
According to Metro, several European clubs including Manchester United are interested in signing 22-year-old Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele this summer.
However, the player himself has appeared to open the door for a move to Tottenham Hotspur after admitting that he is a big admirer of the north London club.
Speaking in an interview with Telefoot, as quoted by Metro, Ndombele, 22, said: “Yes, it’s true that Tottenham are a great team
“They are a big club, they finished fourth in their league, they reached the Champions League final, they are still a big club like any other.
“Which player would not be interested in a big club?”
Tottenham finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last season to secure their spot in the Champions League for next term.
