The Gunners have been credited with a strong interest in landing the Ivory Coast international from Crystal Palace this summer as they look to strengthen their attacking options ahead of next season.
According to Sheth, Arsenal have already made a £40m bid for Zaha, but that figure has fallen way short of Palace’s valuation of the player.
The Sky Sports News reporter also states that Crystal Palace are holding out for a transfer fee closer to £80m as they don’t want to lose the 26-year-old this summer.
Now, Sheth has delivered an update on Arsenal’s reported interest in Zaha, claiming that this is a rumour that could drag on until the transfer deadline next month.
Speaking on the Sky Sports Transfer Talk podcast, Sheth said: “This story is going to run and run. Arsenal have made a £40m bid for Zaha.
“Zaha’s brother has confirmed that Zaha wants to move The Emirates… His brother has made it clear that Zaha wants to leave Palace for Arsenal.
“We know Palace don’t want to sell and they want £80m. This could be a deadline-day signing or a deadline-day collapse. One source has told me Zaha might not train with Palace again.”
Arsenal completed their first signing of the summer on Tuesday when they announced a deal to sign Brazilian teenage forward Gabriel Martinelli.
The north London side will play in the Europa League next season after they finished fifth in the Premier League and lost the Europa League final to Chelsea FC.
