Arsenal agree personal terms with 22-year-old – report
Arsenal agree personal terms with Celtic defender Kieran Tierney, according to a report
Arsenal are close to signing Kieran Tierney after they agreed personal terms with the Celtic left-back, according to a report in England.
Website Football Insider is reporting that the Scotland international is on the brink of a move to the north London side this summer.
The same article states that Arsenal still haven’t agreed a transfer fee with Celtic but the Gunners are confident a deal can be reached before transfer deadline day next month.
According to the same story, Tierney is set to triple his £25,000-a-week wages when he puts pen to paper on a five-year deal with Arsenal should a move to the English capital go through.
The report goes on to add that the Scottish Premier League champions want more money up front rather than receiving multiple instalments.
Football Insider goes on to reveal that Arsenal boss Unai Emery is a big fan of Tierney and the Spanish head coach is eager to add the Scot to his squad.
Arsenal will be looking to build upon a mixed first season under Emery last term.
The Gunners finished in fifth spot in the Premier League table last term.
The north London side lost 4-1 to Chelsea FC in the Europa League final in Baku at the end of May.
