Callum Hudson-Odoi agrees new five-year Chelsea FC contract – report
Callum Hudson-Odoi has agreed a new five-year deal with Chelsea FC to keep him at the club, say reports
Callum Hudson-Odoi has agreed a new five-year contract with Chelsea FC to keep him at the club, according to reports in the British media.
BBC Sport is reporting that the Blues have been able to convince the 18-year-old to commit his long-term future to the club after months of speculation about his situation.
The same story says that Hudson-Odoi, as was widely reported, handed in a transfer request in January after Chelsea FC rejected a bid from Bayern Munich.
However, it is now being reported that the teenager has chosen to stay at Chelsea FC and sign a new long-term contract with the west London club.
The same report says that Hudson-Odoi was positively influenced by Frank Lampard’s arrival at Chelsea FC as the club’s new manager earlier this month.
According to the same story, Hudson-Odoi is on course to earn more than £100,000 a week with his new deal at Stamford Bridge.
Hudson-Odoi is currently sidelined with an Achilles injury, but the article says that the England international is on course to return to action as soon as September.
Chelsea FC finished in third place in the Premier League table and won the Europa League under Maurizio Sarri last term.
