Lampard was officially unveiled as the west London club’s new manager last week in the wake of Maurizio Sarri’s departure to Juventus last month.
The 41-year-old joins Chelsea FC after only having notched up a year’s worth of managerial experience with Derby County last season.
Lampard has signed a three-year deal with the Blues and his sights will be firmly set on helping to formulate a title challenge from Chelsea FC next term after they finished third in the table last term.
And former England international Lineker clearly seems to think that Lampard will be a success at Chelsea FC despite his relative lack of experience.
Following the confirmation of Lampard’s appointment, Lineker wrote on Twitter: “Congratulations to Frank Lampard with his appointment at @ChelseaFC. Lack of experience won’t be an issue. If you’ve got it, you’ve got it, and I suspect Frank has it. Wish him well.”
Chelsea FC are currently banned from signing new players after being handed a two-season transfer ban by Fifa.
The west London club won the Europa League last season thanks to a 4-1 win over London rivals Arsenal in the final back in May.
