James Milner has lavished praise on Andy Robertson for the positive impact he has had at Liverpool FC since joining the club.
Robertson signed for the Reds from Hull City in the summer of 2017 and has since established himself as one of the key members of Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool FC set-up.
The 25-year-old made 11 assists for the Reds in 36 Premier League last season as the Reds finished a point behind champions Manchester City in the table.
And Milner believes that the Scot deserves all of the praise that has been heading his way since his move to Merseyside.
Speaking in an interview quoted by Liverpool FC’s website, Milner said: “I think how good Robbo has been since he’s been at the club has been incredible really.
“The fans love him. I think it started with that 90-yard press of Man City – he pressed everyone in their team I think, went to the ‘keeper and then did them all again!
“He’s got great quality and [is a] good defender. He’s good around the dressing room as well, he’s good craic.
“That’s the one thing we’ve got as a team, we’ve got a great team spirit. You need lads like Robbo.
“As good as he is on the field, he’s brilliant in the dressing room as well.”
Liverpool FC will be looking to go one step further in the Premier League next season as they look to lift the trophy for the first time in their history.
Robertson won his first piece of silverware with the Reds last season when he helped them to win the Champions League, beating Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 in the final last month.
Liverpool FC will begin their new Premier League campaign with a home clash against Norwich City on 9 August.
