Jurgen Klopp considered making a surprise move to bring Franck Ribery to Liverpool FC this summer, according to a report on France.
French media outlet L’Equipe, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Champions League winner flirted with the idea of signing the 36-year-old to provide cover this summer.
The same article states that the Reds thought that perhaps Ribery could provide cover up front after the departure of Daniel Sturridge and Xherdan Shaqiri’s injury.
According to the same story, Liverpool FC decided against a move for the Bayern Munich legend despite allowing Sadio Mane, Mohammed Salah and Roberto Firmino to have an extra break this summer.
