Man United’s forgotten man returns to training at Carrington
Alexis Sanchez has reported back to Carrington for Man United training ahead of the new season
Alexis Sanchez has reported back to Carrington for Manchester United training after having missed the Red Devils’ pre-season tour.
In pictures carried by The Sun, the Chile international was pictured driving in to Manchester United’s training complex this week as he begins his preparations for the new campaign.
Sanchez, 30, sat out Manchester United’s tour to Australia and Japan after his involvement in the Copa America with Chile in the summer months.
The former Arsenal star limped off during Chile’s Copa America clash with Argentina and missed Manchester United’s tour as a result.
Now, Sanchez has been pictured arriving at Manchester United’s Carrington training base as the clock ticks down on the new campaign.
The same story in The Sun claims that Manchester United want to sell Sanchez this summer – but no offers have yet been received for the attacker, who is said to earn as much as £500,000 a week at Old Trafford.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently revealed that Sanchez could be available for selection for Manchester United’s Premier League opener against Chelsea FC on 11 August at Old Trafford.
Sanchez has struggled to make an impact at Old Trafford since his arrival from Arsenal in January 2018, managing to score just one goal in 20 Premier League games as he struggled for form and fitness last term.
