The Spanish midfielder ended up leaving Old Trafford on a free transfer this month after he failed to reach an agreement with the Red Devils over a new deal.
Herrera has now completed his transfer to Paris Saint-Germain and has signed a five-year contract with the French side.
And the Spain international has been quick to pay tribute to Manchester United’s supporters after his move went through.
Writing on Instagram, Herrera said: “Thanks to all United fans that are wishing me the best in my new chapter.
“You are still supporting me even when I am not at the club any more. Thanks a lot from my heart, I have no words.”
Herrera was a firm favourite amongst Manchester United fans but he was unable to agree a new deal with the Red Devils.
Meanwhile, Manchester United have already signed two new players this summer after completing deals to land Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James.
The Red Devils are looking to bounce back from a disappointing campaign in which they finished sixth in the table and without a trophy.
