Ole Gunnar Solskjaer gives update on further signings for Man United fans
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says Man United are having to be patient in the summer transfer window
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has suggested that Manchester United’s transfer dealings this summer could go down to the wire.
The Red Devils have already made two new signings this summer after having tied up deals for Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James.
Manchester United continue to be linked with a host of other players this summer as Solskjaer looks to add to his squad ahead of the new campaign.
The summer transfer window for English clubs closes at 17:00 BST on Thursday 7 August, the Red Devils do not have a great deal of time left to complete any further deals.
Now, Solskjaer has seemingly hinted that any further new arrivals at Manchester United could happen towards the end of the summer transfer window.
Speaking in an interview quoted by Metro, Solskjaer said: “It will take time for any player to adjust to Man United.
“We’ve got to be patient. It’s a long haul and very important we get the right ones in.
“We can’t just jump on a different path if we hit a hurdle. I’m not frustrated at all.
“When we’re working on something it’s because we’ve identified something that could improve us.”
Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League and without a trophy last term.
The Red Devils confirmed Solskjaer as their new permanent manager back in March after he was initially brought in to replace Jose Mourinho on a temporary basis back in December.
Manchester United kick off their Premier League campaign with a testing clash against Frank Lampard’s Chelsea FC at Old Trafford on Sunday 11 August.
