Sky Sports News reporter gives update on Man United interest in 24-year-old
Man United are yet to make an official bid to sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio, says Kaveh Solhekol
Manchester United are yet to make an official offer to sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio this summer, according to Sky Sports News reporter Kaveh Solhekol.
The Red Devils have been linked with a host of big names in the summer transfer market as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first full season in charge at Old Trafford.
Milinkovic-Savic has been touted as a possible midfield target for the Red Devils as Solskjaer looks to bring in reinforcements in that position following the exit of Ander Herrera this summer.
Manchester United have so far only signed Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James this summer and it remains to be seen whether they will get a deal for Milinkovic-Savic, 24, over the line.
Now, Sky Sports News reporter Solhekol has revealed that Lazio are yet to receive an official offer for Milinkovic-Savic and that the Serie A club are holding out for a fee of around €90m (£81m).
Solhekol wrote on Twitter: “Sky Italy: Lazio waiting for official offer from Manchester United for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. They want €90m for 24-year-old Serbian midfielder.”
Milinkovic-Savic scored five goals and made three assists in 31 Serie A games for Lazio last season.
Manchester United are aiming to try and break back into the top four this season after they finished sixth and without a trophy last term.
