Man United are ready to make a concrete bid for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes, according to a report
Manchester United are preparing a £50m bid to sign Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes, according to a report in England.
The Independent is reporting that Manchester United are set to reignite their interest in the exciting Portugal international in the coming weeks ahead of deadline day.
The same article states that the Red Devils are confident an offer in the region of £50m will be sufficient to lure Fernandes away from the Portuguese side.
According to the same story, Manchester United will attempt to sign Fernandes regardless of whether Paul Pogba stays at Old Trafford beyond the summer transfer window or not.
The Independent goes on to state that the 24-year-old attacking midfielder is keen to move to Manchester United this summer despite being linked with a number of other European clubs.
The report continues that Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is convinced that Fernandes will be a great addition to the Red Devils team should they manage to agree to a deal.
Manchester United have been the most active of the top six clubs so far this summer after completing two deals.
Swansea City midfielder Daniel James secured an £18m switch to Old Trafford in June before Manchester United paid £50m for Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
