Manchester United are very keen on a deal to sign Bruno Fernandes this summer, according to Sky Sports News reporter Dharmesh Sheth.

The Red Devils are thought to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first full season in charge.

Manchester United have already completed deals to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James, but they are still being linked with a number of other names.

Sporting Lisbon midfielder Fernandes has been touted as a possible target for the Red Devils this summer, and now Sky Sports News reporter Sheth has claimed that Manchester United are very interested in a deal to land the 24-year-old.

Speaking on the Sky Sports Transfer Talk podcast, Sheth said: “This is a player [Fernandes] that Man United are very keen on bringing to Old Trafford.

“I was told his agent travelled to UK to sound out the possibility of a move to the Premier League.”

Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League table and without a trophy last season under Solskjaer after he was brought in to replace Jose Mourinho back in December.

Fernandes scored an impressive 20 goals and made 13 assists in 33 league games for Sporting Lisbon last season.
