The France international has been touted as a potential target for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the summer transfer window.
Dembele has been touted as a potential replacement for Romelu Lukaku should Manchester United decide to sell the Belgium international.
The former Celtic striker has impressed with his performances for Lyon since his move to the Ligue 1 side from Scotland in 2018.
The 23-year-old scored twice in Lyon’s 2-1 victory over Arsenal to help the French side win the Emirates Cup on Sunday.
However, Dembele is focused on his performances for Lyon in the coming season despite transfer speculation linking the centre-forward with a move to Manchester United.
“The most important thing is that we won. I want to be an undisputed starter this season,” Dembele is quoted as saying by Metro.
“I’m going to have perform well consistently. I want to have a great season with Lyon.”
Dembele scored 20 times in 45 games in all competitions in his first season at the French side.
Lyon signed the promising France forward in a €22m (£19.7m) deal from SPL outfit Celtic last summer.
Manchester United are thought to be in the market to sign a striker as Lukaku edges closer to a move to Serie A.
Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte is thought to be eager to sign Lukaku this summer, but Serie A champions Juventus are also interested in a deal to recruit the Belgian striker.
