Manchester United aren’t interested in a deal to sign Southampton playmaker Mario Lemina, according to a report in England.
The Manchester Evening News is reporting that the Red Devils aren’t particularly interested in a deal to sign the former Juventus midfielder.
The same article states that the Manchester United hierarchy believe that reports linking the Red Devils with Lemina are designed to whip up a bidding war for the Gabon international.
According to the same story, Southampton are eager to sell Lemina and the 25-year-old hasn’t travelled with the Saints squad on their pre-season tour.
The Manchester Evening News go on to add that Arsenal could be interested in a swoop to sign the Southampton midfielder.
The Red Devils have been linked with a host of midfielders in the summer transfer window amid continued speculation surrounding their prized asset Paul Pogba.
The World Cup winner is thought to be eager to leave Old Trafford in the current transfer window amid reported interest from Juventus and Real Madrid.
