French media outlet RMC, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that Manchester United are considering a shock move to sign the France international this summer.
The same article states that Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is in the market to sign a new central midfielder this summer.
According to the same story, the Red Devils manager is preparing for life potentially without his club-record signing Paul Pogba next term.
The report goes on to add that new Chelsea FC boss Frank Lampard hasn’t decided whether to keep Bakayoko or sell the former AS Monaco star.
Chelsea FC signed Bakayoko in a £40m deal in the 2017 summer transfer window under Antonio Conte after their Premier League title success.
However, the Blues star struggled to have an impact on the west London side in his first season at Stamford Bridge under the Italian manager.
Bakayoko was loaned out to AC Milan for the 2017-18 campaign but the French star is set to return to Chelsea FC for pre-season training this summer under Maurizio Sarri’s replacement, Lampard.
Chelsea FC finished in third place in the Premier League table and won the Europa League last term.
