Tottenham Hotspur are “expected” to sign Tanguy Ndombele in a deal that could be worth more than £60m, according to reports in the British media.

The Evening Standard is reporting that the Lilywhites are closing in on a deal to make the 22-year-old Lyon midfielder their first official signing of the summer transfer window.

The same story says that Tottenham are also expecting to complete a deal to sign 18-year-old Leeds United winger Jack Clarke this summer.

Ndombele scored one goal and made seven assists in 34 Ligue 1 appearances for Lyon last season. He also netted two times in eight appearances in the Champions League for the French club.

Tottenham are thought to be on the lookout for a number of signings this summer as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the new campaign.

The Lilywhites finished in fourth place in the Premier League table and reached the Champions League final last term as they came close to winning their first trophy under Mauricio Pochettino.

Spurs will be looking to make progress next season as they bid to try and challenge for the Premier League title and win their first trophy in their new stadium.
