Danny Murphy has tipped Liverpool FC to finish a long way ahead of Arsenal in the Premier League table this season.

The Merseyside outfit maintained their perfect start to the new Premier League season last weekend thanks to a 3-1 victory over Arsenal at Anfield.

Goals from Joel Matip and Mohamed Salah sealed a comfortable win for the Premier League leaders and ended Arsenal’s 100 per cent start to the campaign.

Liverpool FC are sitting at the top of the Premier League table and three points ahead of Unai Emery’s side after three top-flight fixtures.

The Reds ended up 27 points ahead of Arsenal in the Premier League last term after Liverpool FC missed out on a first title by a point.

Former Spurs midfielder Murphy believes there’ll be a chasm between Liverpool FC and Arsenal at the end of the Premier League season.

“Arsenal will need a telescope to see Liverpool by the end of the season,” Murphy told talkSPORT.

“It was boys against men, it was too easy. Liverpool didn’t even get into proper gear!

Jurgen Klopp won his first major trophy as Liverpool FC manager last term after the Reds were 2-0 winners against Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League final.

Arsenal, on the other hand, suffered a 4-1 loss to Chelsea FC in the Europa League showpiece to miss out on silverware in Unai Emery’s first season at The Emirates.

The Gunners will host bitter rivals Tottenham at The Emirates on Sunday.
