BBC Sport pundit raves about Dani Ceballos at Arsenal
Danny Murphy has his say on Dani Ceballos after his impressive display for Arsenal against Burnley
Danny Murphy has heaped praise on Dani Ceballos after his impressive performance in Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Burnley on Saturday afternoon.
The north London side made it two wins from two in the Premier League on Saturday thanks to Alexandre Lacazette’s opener and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s eventual winner in the second half.
Ceballos made his full Arsenal debut against Burnley and was named as the man of the match after having provided the assists for both goals.
The 23-year-old was in fine form and looks to be settling in quickly to life at The Emirates after having joined from Real Madrid on a season-long loan deal.
And former Tottenham midfielder Murphy has admitted that he was very impressed by what he saw from Ceballos in Saturday afternoon’s victory.
Speaking on Match of the Day, Murphy said: “They have got themselves a player here. He has got the lot. He is creative and wants the ball all the time. His decision making is good.
“He started in the number ten role but drifted back into the space. He was looking for those through balls. I like his decision making and he doesn’t rush things.
“He grew into the game in the second half. Every good move came through him. He looks like an Arsenal type of player if you like.”
Arsenal will return to Premier League action on Saturday evening when they travel to Liverpool FC in the top flight.
The Gunners have won their opening two Premier League games of the season for the first time in 10 years.
Arsenal are aiming to break back into the top four this term after they finished fifth and without a trophy last season.
