David Luiz has taken to social media to insist that he will “never hide” after Arsenal’s 3-1 loss to Liverpool FC in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Brazil international started the game in central defence as he settles into life at The Emirates following his move from Chelsea FC in the summer transfer window.

David Luiz was at fault for two of Liverpool FC’s three goals, as he conceded the penalty early in the first half that allowed Mohamed Salah to double the home side’s lead.

And he was then beaten by Salah later in the half as the Egypt international netted his second of the evening to put the result beyond doubt.

Despite David Luiz’s mistakes, Arsenal have earned praise for their performance at Anfield since the result.

And the defender has now taken to social media to thank Arsenal fans for their support in the wake of Sunday’s game.

David Luiz posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Life is tough and football is tough also sometimes!!!

“But I know one thing, I will never give up !! Was always like that my life… I came here with a goal, and I will fight until the end for that!!!

“Thank u for the fans, for all the support !!! I will never hide, wining or losing!”

Arsenal will return to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon when they take on Tottenham Hotspur at The Emirates in front of their home fans.

The Gunners are currently third in the table.
