The 23-year-old midfielder has been settling into life at The Emirates after having signed for the Gunners on a season-long loan deal from Real Madrid.
Ceballos made his first Premier League start for the Gunners on Saturday and produced a fine display as Arsenal claimed a solid win in front of their home fans.
The Spaniard set up both of Arsenal’s goals as strikes from Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang handed the Gunners all three points and their second straight league win.
And former Tottenham attacker Lineker has admitted that he has always been a fan of Ceballos after watching his display on Saturday lunchtime.
Lineker wrote on Twitter: “Ceballos is a lovey footballer. Admired him at Betis and wondered why it hasn’t really happened for him at Real Madrid.”
Ceballos will be hoping to feature for Arsenal when the Gunners return to Premier League action on Saturday evening with a trip to Liverpool FC.
The north London side are focusing on breaking back into the top four this season after they finished fifth and without a trophy under Unai Emery last term.
