The French defender completed a move to Ligue 1 side Bordeaux from Arsenal on Tuesday after Koscielny spent the summer trying to force through a move to his home country.
Koscielny refused to go on Arsenal’s tour of the United States after the Gunners rejected his appeal to prematurely end his contract so the centre-half could return to Ligue 1.
The Arsenal captain didn’t feature in the north London side’s pre-season campaign to cast doubt on his future with deadline day looming on the horizon.
However, Koscielny, who has struggled with serious injuries over the past couple of season, secured his return to France on Thursday in controversial circumstances.
The experienced defender’s arrival at the French club was unveiled on their Twitter channel as Koscielny took off an Arsenal shirt to reveal a Bordeaux jersey.
Unsurprisingly, the video provoked a strong response from some Arsenal supporters.
Arsenal legend Wright was quick to take to Twitter to retweet the video with some passionate words about Koscielny’s behaviour over the past couple of months.
Wright wrote on Twitter: “This hurts. The level of disrespect 😤😤 You should be ashamed for the way you’ve left the club after 9 years! Got what you wanted and still trying to have a dig 👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾 Hope it’s worth it in the long run.”
Arsenal have signed Gabriel Martinelli, William Saliba, Dani Ceballos and Nicolas Pepe in the summer transfer window so far.
