Laurent Koscielny is still determined to leave Arsenal this summer, according to a report in England.

The Independent is reporting that the France international hasn’t changed his mind about wanting a fresh start ahead of the new Premier League season.

The same article reveals that the 33-year-old refused to go on their pre-season tour to the United States after Arsenal turned down his request to have his contract terminated with one year remaining on it.

According to the same story, Koscielny is desperate to return to France after spending the past nine seasons at the north London club.

The Independent go on to add that Arsenal have held discussions with Koscielny in an attempt to resolve the situation but the French defender is refusing to budge.

As a result, the British media outlet are reporting, the veteran defender is edging closer to an exit at Arsenal.

Koscielny has won three FA Cup crowns since his move to Arsenal from Lorient in the 2010 summer transfer window.

The French defender has scored 27 times in 353 games in all competitions under Arsene Wenger and Unai Emery.

Arsenal have signed four new players this summer as Emery looks to continue his overhaul of the squad.

The Gunners have recruited Nicolas Pepe, Gabriel Martinelli, William Saliba and Dani Ceballos.
