The 21-year-old has earned the faith of Frank Lampard in recent weeks and has been a regular fixture in the starting line-up so far this season.
Abraham put Chelsea FC ahead in the 19th minute at Stamford Bridge, before driving home a second strike in the 43rd minute to put the hosts in control heading into half-time.
However, Sheffield United pulled one goal back just after half-time through Callum Robinson, before Kurt Zouma’s own goal in the 89th minute earned the visitors a point.
Despite the disappointing nature of the result for Chelsea FC fans, one positive is Abraham’s solid start to the campaign.
The striker has scored four goals in his last two Premier League outings for the Blues.
And former Chelsea FC star Melchiot was clearly impressed by Abraham’s performance on Saturday.
He wrote on Twitter: “Great stuff. It’s about the number of goals you scored as a striker not always how you scored them. @tammyabraham again!!!! #mmlove #cfc.”
Chelsea FC will return to Premier League action after the international break when they travel to Wolves on Saturday 14 September.
The Blues have taken five points from a possible 12 in their opening four games under Lampard.
