Gary Lineker took to social media to have his say on Liverpool FC's 3-1 win over Arsenal at Anfield on Saturday
Gary Lineker reserved special praise for Mohamed Salah after Liverpool FC kept their place at the top of the Premier League table with a 3-1 win over Arsenal at Anfield.
The Reds headed into the game looking to preserve their 100 per cent record in the top flight this season so far.
After an entertaining first half, the Reds took the lead in the 41st minute when Joel Matip headed home from a corner.
Mohamed Salah then netted a penalty in the 49th minute after he was pulled back by David Luiz, and the Egypt international then fired home his second of the afternoon in the 58th minute.
Substitute Lucas Torreira pulled a goal back for the Gunners in the 85th minute at Anfield but Liverpool FC played out the game to claim all three points and retain their spot at the top of the table.
England legend Lineker was clearly impressed by what he saw from Salah after the Egyptian scored twice in the game.
After Salah’s penalty, Lineker wrote on Twitter: “Salah emphatically makes it 2-0 from the spot after David Luiz gifts them a penalty.”
