The defending champions are preparing to welcome Mauricio Pochettino’s men to Manchester as they look to try and make it two wins from two in the top flight.
Manchester City kicked off their Premier League title defence with a 5-0 win away to West Ham on the opening weekend of the season.
Pep Guardiola’s side are looking to win the Premier League trophy for the third season running as they aim to hold off challenges from the likes of Liverpool FC this season.
Spurs, meanwhile, began their own campaign with a 3-1 home win over Aston Villa last weekend as Pochettino searches for his first trophy as Tottenham boss.
However, former Liverpool FC star Owen seems to think that Manchester City are the likely winners when the two sides do battle this weekend.
Writing in his column for BetVictor, Owen said: “Spurs have won more Premier League games (37) having been behind at halftime than any other club in the history of the competition after three goals in the last 17 minutes was enough to give them the points against Villa.
“But they will have to improve if they are to worry the champions.
“City were irresistible at the London Stadium and have now won their last 15 Premier League games.
“Spurs are likely to play their part in what promises to be a wonderful game at the Etihad, but I think it will be City who go marching on.”
Tottenham reached the Champions League final last season but ended up losing 2-0 to Liverpool FC.
Manchester City, meanwhile, won the Premier League title by a single point and also lifted the League Cup trophy last term.
