Lee Grant says that Harry Maguire has “seamlessly” slotted into life at Manchester United following his summer move from Leicester City.

The 26-year-old has started all three of Manchester United’s Premier League games so far this season and has impressed in central defence for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men.

Maguire was named as the man of the match in their opener against Chelsea FC earlier this month as he helped them to keep a clean sheet in a 4-0 win.

However, the England defender was unable to prevent the Red Devils from slipping to a draw at Wolves and a defeat by Crystal Palace at Old Trafford last weekend.

Maguire will be looking to hold down his spot in the team and establish a strong presence in the Manchester United defence this season.

And Red Devils goalkeeper Grant says that he has been highly impressed by the way Maguire has been settling into life at Old Trafford.

Speaking in an interview quoted by Metro, Grant said: “It’s been seamless [for Maguire].

“Harry has definitely slotted straight in, in terms of the social side and in terms of his mentality and attitude, which has been first class.

“The most important thing, though, is his quality and he was able to show that against Chelsea.

“We could all see he is quite at home in front of the Old Trafford crowd and quite at home as a Manchester United player.”

Manchester United will aim to bounce back to winning ways this Saturday when they travel to Southampton in the top flight.

The Red Devils finished in sixth place and without a trophy last season as they missed out on Champions League qualification.
