Manchester United rejected the chance to sign Juventus forward Moise Kean before the teenager moved to Everton, according to a report in England.
Website 90MIN is reporting that Kean’s agent Mino Raiola offered the promising Italy international to Manchester United earlier this summer.
The same article states that the super agent has previously worked with Manchester United over deals for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Paul Pogba.
According to the same story, Manchester United snubbed the chance to sign Kean due to their reservations that the Italian forward could develop into a top player.
Everton completed a £27.5m deal to sign Kean last month as Marco Silva bolstered his attack with the Italy international ahead of the new Premier League season.
The Toffees could end up paying £36m for their new signing.
Manchester United have experienced a relatively quiet summer transfer window despite Ole Gunnar Solskjaer being linked with a host of top players since the end of the 2018-19 Premier League.
The Red Devils signed Wales international Daniel James in an £18m deal from Championship side Swansea City in June after Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs endorsed the winger.
Solskjaer has improved his backline with the £50m addition of England Under-21 international Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Premier League rivals Crystal Palace last month.
