The Sun, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that Solskjaer and Woodward will sit down in Manchester to discuss the club’s struggles in the transfer window.
The same article states that Manchester United have been left frustrated in their pursuit of a series of targets in the summer transfer window.
According to the same story, Woodward operates a policy that is described as “one transfer at a time” but the Manchester United chief will have to adapt to the changing circumstances in the current transfer window.
The Red Devils have eight days left to get remaining summer deals over the line before transfer deadline day on 8 August.
The report goes on to add that Solskjaer is eager to sign one midfielder to replace Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera after their pair left Old Trafford this summer.
Manchester United have only signed Swansea midfielder Daniel James and Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the summer transfer window so far.
The Red Devils will start the new Premier League season with a tricky game against Frank Lampard’s Chelsea FC at Old Trafford on Sunday 11 August.
