Ole Gunnar Solskjaer makes Man United decision about Alexis Sanchez – report
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to do whatever it takes to offload Man United striker Alexis Sanchez, according to a report
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is ready to send Alexis Sanchez to train with Manchester United’s reserves unless the Chilean forward agrees to leave the club, according to a report in England.
The Sun, as quoted by the Daily Mail, is reporting that Manchester United are willing to do whatever it takes to sell Sanchez before the close of the European transfer window on 2 September.
The same article states that Serie A giants AS Roma are interested in a potential swoop to sign the 30-year-old but the Italian giants will struggle to match his £500,000-a-week wages.
According to the same story, Solskjaer doesn’t view Sanchez as part of his plans for Manchester United despite the South American’s big reputation when he arrived at Old Trafford in January 2018.
The report goes on to add that Sanchez had a bust-up with 17-year-old Mason Greenwood during pre-season to create further uncertainty surrounding his career at Old Trafford.
Sanchez has been a huge disappointment since his move to Manchester United in a swap deal from Arsenal in the January transfer window in 2018.
The South American has only scored one goal in 16 games in all competitions since Solskjaer took over the reins from Jose Mourinho in December.
Manchester United are lightweight on options up front after Romelu Lukaku’s move to Inter Milan.
