Joe Cole was quick to talk up Mason Mount’s finishing ability after the Chelsea FC midfielder scored in Saturday’s 3-2 win over Norwich City.

The England Under-21 international was named in the Chelsea FC starting line-up after Mount found the net in a 1-1 draw with Leicester City last weekend.

The 20-year-old rewarded Frank Lampard’s faith in Mount with his second successive Premier League goal to restore Chelsea FC’s lead in the first half.

Mount combined with Christian Pulisic before the English midfielder found the roof of the net with a clinical finish that belied his lack of experience in the top flight.

Former Chelsea FC midfielder Cole was quick to praise Mount’s performance in the west London side’s 3-2 win over promoted side Norwich on Saturday afternoon.

“Mason Mount gets in. His touch is lovely,” Cole told BT Sport on Saturday.

“It’s why the kid scores goals. He hits the target on a regular basis.”

Tammy Abraham gave Chelsea FC the lead in the first half with his first goal for the west London side.

However, Norwich were level shortly after when Todd Cantwell netted his inaugural goal in the Premier League.

Mount restored Chelsea FC’s lead before Teemu Pukki continued his excellent record in the Premier League with his fifth goal in three games.

Abraham sealed the three points for the visitors in the second half with his second goal of the game.

Chelsea FC youngster Mount scored 11 times in 44 games under Lampard during his season-long loan at Derby last term.
