The Belgium international has been regularly linked with a move to the Premier League over the past 12 months or so.
Manchester United were thought to be interested in the PSG full-back to bolster their leaky defence.
Arsenal manager Unai Emery worked with Meunier during his short stint in charge of PSG.
The Gunners were also touted as a potential destination for Meunier given Hector Bellerin’s record of injury problems.
Meunier is set to become a free agent in the summer unless the PSG defender commits to a new deal at Parc des Princes.
Current PSG boss Thomas Tuchel doesn’t view Meunier as his first-choice right-back at the French champions.
The PSG star has now insisted that he’s happy at PSG but has refused to rule out a potential move next summer.
“It was an intense period, with a lot of interest and discussion,” Meunier told RTBF, as quoted by the Daily Mirror.
“I could have left but it was not done because there was nothing that suited the club or myself. Nothing was 100 per cent for it to work.
“I have always said that I wanted to stay in Paris. I still have one year on my contract and I still hope an extension can be secured.
“The situation is a little more complicated because I am no longer the preferred choice in my position, but I remain professional.
“I feel good there and we will see what happens during the season.”
Arsenal need further improvements at the back if their start to the Premier League season is any indication.
The Gunners have conceded six times in their opening four games.
Manchester United have failed to win their last three Premier League games to raise questions about their progress under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Red Devils signed Crystal Palace full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the summer.
