Arsenal confirm when Kieran Tierney will start full training
Arsenal confirm that Kieran Tierney is on course to return to full training this month
Arsenal have confirmed that Kieran Tierney is progressing well in his recovery from injury and is aiming to start to full training with the Gunners in September.
The Scottish defender is yet to feature for the north London side after having signed for the Gunners from Celtic in the summer transfer window.
Tierney has been struggling with a groin injury that has kept him out of action and he will now be fully focused on getting fit and winning a place in Unai Emery’s first team.
Arsenal fans will clearly be excited to see the 22-year-old make his debut in the coming weeks, and the north London club have provided an official update about his progress.
In a post on the official Arsenal website, a statement on Tierney’s recovery read: “[Tierney] continues to receive treatment and further assessments.
“[He is] progressing well and aiming to participate in full training in September.”
The update also said that fellow defender Hector Bellerin is aiming to return to full training this month.
Arsenal have taken seven points from a possible 12 from their opening four Premier League games so far this season in Tierney’s absence.
The north London side are now preparing for their trip to Watford in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
The Gunners fought back from two goals down to claim a 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur in their most recent Premier League outing before the international break.
