Website football.london is reporting that the Ivory Coast international has not suffered an injury despite claims that he had been forced to pull out of international duty with a problem.
The same story says that reports Pepe had suffered a problem while on international duty were “wide of the mark” but he did return to England after pulling out of national duties.
According to the same story, it was agreed by the Ivorian federation and Arsenal that it was best for him to work on his fitness at London Colney rather than take part in international affairs.
However, the story insists that Pepe does not have an injury of any kind, meaning that he should be fit for Arsenal’s trip to Watford in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Pepe has been a regular fixture in the Arsenal team so far this season, notching up one assist in four Premier League outings for Unai Emery’s men.
He is yet to score his first goal for the club as he bids to try and help the Gunners to break back into the top four this season and secure Champions League qualification.
