Chelsea FC are set to tie Callum Hudson-Odoi down to a new contract worth £100,000 a week, according to reports in the British media.

The Sun is reporting that the Blues are poised to announce the new five-year deal after months of speculation about the youngster’s future.

The same story says that the west London club are ready to confirm a new contract for the teenager, which will end Bayern Munich’s long-term interest in signing him.

Hudson-Odoi has been out of action since the end of last season with an Achilles injury but he played 61 minutes in Friday’s reserve clash at Brighton as he continues down the road towards full fitness.

The same article suggests that the 18-year-old is now close to signing a new contract at Stamford Bridge and committing his future to the west London club.

Meanwhile, Chelsea FC will return to Champions League action on Tuesday night with a home clash against Valencia.

The Blues will then focus on preparing for their home clash with Liverpool FC at Stamford Bridge next Sunday afternoon.
