The forward has been a regular fixture in the first team for the Blues this season after Lampard chose to place his faith in the 21-year-old attacker.
Abraham has been earning plenty of praise for his performances and he had scored seven goals in five Premier League appearances ahead of the visit of Liverpool FC to Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
The forward is still adapting to the rigours of the Premier League, but Lampard says that he has been delighted by the attitude Abraham has shown so far this season.
Speaking in an interview quoted by the Daily Mirror, Lampard said: “The thing I love about Tammy is his enthusiasm and how he takes on challenges.
“He takes every day like it’s a challenge and a happy challenge.
“He comes in with a smile on his face and wants to score in training and be the best he can be.
“If you’ve got that attitude, you’ve got a great chance because we know he has the talent.”
Chelsea FC are in League Cup action on Wednesday night when they take on Grimsby Town at Stamford Bridge.
The west London side will then turn their attentions back to Premier League affairs and their home clash with Brighton and Hove Albion at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
Lampard has been tasked with keeping Chelsea FC in the top four this season after they finished in third place and won the Europa League under Maurizio Sarri last term.
