Liverpool FC were comfortable 3-1 winners against Newcastle United on Saturday afternoon thanks to goals from Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.
The Reds have now only lost one game in their last 44 outings to highlight their credentials ahead of what promises to be a pulsating title race.
Liverpool FC finished a point behind champions Manchester City last term despite losing just one game in the 2018-19 Premier League season.
Former Liverpool FC midfielder Cole believes Klopp’s side need to win the title this season to realise their obvious talent.
“It is unbelievable,” Cole told BT Sport.
“It’s staggering. You could have that record and win two titles. The pressure is on this Liverpool team now. If they don’t win the league this season, they’ll go down as the greatest team never to win the title. They’re so good. They need a title.”
Liverpool FC will make the trip to Napoli in their Champions League opener in Naples on Tuesday night.
The Reds won the Champions League last season thanks to a 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the final.
