Fabinho has admitted that playing for Liverpool FC has changed him both as a player and a person.

The Brazilian midfielder has become an important figure in the Liverpool FC side in recent months after having initially made something of a slow start to his career on Merseyside.

Fabinho joined the Reds from AS Monaco in the summer of 2018 but it took some time before Jurgen Klopp started calling on him on a regular basis.

The 25-year-old held down a regular spot in the first team at Anfield in the second half of last season and he helped Klopp’s side to win the Champions League last term.

Fabinho and his team-mates now have their sights firmly set on pushing for the Premier League title this season after they missed out by just a point last term.

And the midfielder has now opened up about his start to life at Liverpool FC and how his move to the club has changed him.

Asked if he’s changed since walking through the doors at Melwood for the first time, Fabinho told Liverpool FC’s website: “Definitely I am different

“Liverpool has brought me up to the highest level of my career. I can win titles with Liverpool that I have always dreamed of.

“We are a winning team and a great team to play for with the players and coaching team we have.

“Everything around Liverpool, the competition for places, is really good and pushes us on to be even better. Bringing all of that together has made me a better player, definitely.”

Liverpool FC are next in League Cup action on Wednesday night when they take on MK Dons away from home in the third round.
