Liverpool FC are scouting Villarreal and Nigeria winger Samuel Chukwueze, according to a report
Liverpool FC are one of a number of clubs scouting Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze, according to a report in England.
Website Goal is reporting that the Champions League winners have been alerted to the 20-year-old over the past 12 months or so.
The same article states that Liverpool FC are scouting the Nigeria international ahead of a potential move for the Villarreal forward.
According to the same story, there is an expectation that Chukwueze will “move sooner rather than later” after a promising start at Villarreal.
Goal goes on to state that the African prospect is rated as one of the most exciting young talents in Europe and is on the radar of a large array of top teams.
Liverpool FC have a great reputation for developing African talent since Jurgen Klopp took over the reins of the club in 2015.
Senegal international Sadio Mane has blossomed into a top-class winger during his three seasons at LiverpooL FC, while Egypt’s Mohamed Salah finished as the Premier League’s top goal-scorer in the last two seasons.
Former Cameroon international Joel Matip has also forged a fruitful partnership with Virgil van Dijk at centre-half over the past 12 months or so.
Klopp is still to get the best out of Guinea midfielder Naby Keita, who moved to Liverpool FC in a £48m deal in 2018.
