The Chile international has been shipped out on loan to Inter Milan for this season after having been deemed to be surplus to requirements at Old Trafford by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The 30-year-old will spend the season in Serie A as he tries to regain his form following his stop-start Manchester United career so far.
Sanchez signed for Manchester United from Arsenal in the January transfer window in 2018 but he has failed to live up to expectations at Old Trafford.
The forward struggled with both form and fitness issues last season and he has now been sent to Inter Milan on loan for the rest of the campaign.
However, despite his struggles at Old Trafford, Sanchez has insisted that he remains pleased that he chose to move to Manchester United in 2018.
Speaking in an interview quoted by BBC Sport, Sanchez said: “I’m very happy I went to Manchester United.
“I’ve always said that. It’s the club that’s won the most in England.
“When I went to Arsenal it was fantastic – I was happy there – but United were growing at the time, they were buying players to win something.
“I wanted to join them and win everything. I don’t regret going there.”
Meanwhile, Manchester United will return to Premier League action after the international break when they take on Leicester City in front of their home fans at Old Trafford on Saturday 14 September.
The Red Devils finished in sixth place and without a trophy last term.
