The Sun is reporting that the Red Devils are keeping a close eye on the 27-year-old’s situation at the north London club ahead of the January window.
Eriksen’s future was an intense source of speculation in the summer months but he ended up staying at Spurs, despite the fact that his current contract is due to expire next summer.
According to the same story, Manchester United were interested in signing Eriksen throughout the summer transfer window and were willing to pay as much as £70m to land him.
However, because Eriksen’s current deal is set to expire in the summer, Manchester United could end up landing him for a cut-price fee.
Eriksen was heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid during the summer transfer window but a switch failed to materialise.
He ended up remaining as a Tottenham player and scored Spurs’ opening goal in their 2-2 draw with Arsenal in the north London derby at the weekend.
Manchester United signed Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Daniel James and Harry Maguire in the summer transfer window.
