Mason Greenwood could be in line for a new Manchester United contract after breaking into the first team, according to reports in the British media.
The Athletic, as quoted by the Daily Mail, is reporting that the 17-year-old is one of a number of young players in line for new contracts at Old Trafford.
According to the same story, Manchester United are preparing to offer Greenwood a new deal worth £25,000 a week to secure his future at Old Trafford.
Greenwood has come on as a substitute in all four of Manchester United’s Premier League games so far this season, playing 47 minutes in total.
The same article says that there is an expectation that Greenwood will start games in both the League Cup and Europa League this season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
It is claimed in the same article that Manchester United are also expecting to enter talks with Angel Gomes, James Garner, Tahith, Brandon Williams and Ethan Laird about improved contracts.
Manchester United have endured a mixed start to the new season so far, having only taken five points from their first four games.
They will return to Premier League action after the international break when they host Leicester City at Old Trafford on Saturday 14 September.
