Manchester United will try and convince midfielder Paul Pogba to sign a new contract at Old Trafford, according to reports in the British media.
The Evening Standard is reporting that the Red Devils are hoping to be able to end the speculation about the 26-year-old’s future by convincing him to pen a new deal.
The same story also says that Manchester United are keen to also tie down Mason Greenwood and Jesse Lingard to new deals at Old Trafford.
The article says that Manchester United official still have “concerns” over Pogba’s situation at Old Trafford after he was heavily linked with a move away in the summer months.
It is claimed in the same report that Manchester United were always “adamant” that the France international was not for sale, but the speculation remained for the whole summer window.
The same report says that Manchester United are now keen to tie down the World Cup winner to a new long-term contract to avoid another summer of uncertainty next year.
Pogba will enter into the final year of his contract at the end of this season, but Manchester United have the option to extend that deal by a further 12 months.
