French outlet L’Equipe, as quoted by The Sun, is reporting that the Red Devils are attempting to try and extend the 26-year-old midfielder’s current deal at Old Trafford.
Pogba was heavily linked with a move away from Manchester United in the summer transfer window but a move failed to materialise for the French World Cup winner.
Now, the same story claims that Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has contacted Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola about the possibility of extending his current contract.
Whether Pogba would realistically be willing to sign a new deal at Old Trafford remains to be seen, considering the level of speculation that has surrounded his future in recent months.
The midfielder has started all four of Manchester United’s Premier League games so far this season, making two assists for his team-mates.
He will be expecting to feature when the Red Devils return to Premier League action after the international break with a home clash against Leicester City.
The Red Devils have only taken five points from their opening four games this term.
