BBC Sport pundit reacts to Man United’s 2-0 loss at West Ham United
Pat Nevin believes that Man United's current squad is simply not good enough after their 2-0 loss to West Ham
Pat Nevin believes that the current Manchester United squad is simply not good enough after their 2-0 loss to West Ham United in London on Sunday afternoon.
The Red Devils headed to the London Stadium looking to make it back to back wins in the Premier League for the first time this season but ended up slumping to a disappointing defeat.
Goals from Andriy Yarmolenko and Aaron Cresswell handed the home side the three points and condemned Manchester United to their second defeat of the season in the Premier League.
Former Chelsea FC star Nevin feels that Manchester United have a lot of work to do in multiple areas to improve after the loss in east London.
Speaking on BBC Radio 5 live after the game, Nevin said: “Whatever Manchester United tried today didn’t work and the problem is you just don’t know what else they could have done or what they could do going forwards.
“The team and the substitutes – it’s not good enough. It does not matter who your manager is.
“The group does not look good enough, that’s the hard reality.”
Manchester United will now dust themselves down as they prepare to take on Rochdale in the third round of the League Cup on Wednesday night at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils are currently in seventh place in the Premier League table and three points off the top four.
