Gary Neville has named three world-class players that he would sign if the Sky Sports pundit was in charge of Manchester United.

The Red Devils have made a ponderous start to the new Premier League season following a return of eight points from their opening five games.

Manchester United looked unconvincing in their 1-0 victory over Leicester City at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon after Marcus Rashford scored a first-half penalty.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looked to improve his Manchester United squad with the additions of Swansea City winger Daniel James, Crystal Palace full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Leicester City centre-half Harry Maguire.

However, Sky Sports pundit Neville named three players that he’d target if he were Manchester United manager during a question-and-answer session on Twitter on Tuesday.

Neville replied to a question on Twitter asking for the three players he’d sign for Manchester United: “Varane, Kante and Mbappe”

The Red Devils will take on Azerbaijani side Astani in their opening Europa League fixture at Old Trafford on Thursday night.

Solskjaer’s side are looking to win the Europa League crown for the second time in four seasons.

Manchester United’s next Premier League game is a trip to West Ham United on Sunday afternoon.

They haven’t won the Premier League title since 2013.
