Manchester United are ready to meet Mauricio Pochettino’s £32m buyout clause, according to a report in England.

The Sun is reporting that Manchester United will try to secure Pochettino as their new manager at some point in the future given their long-term interest in the Tottenham Hotspur manager.

The same article states that current boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is starting to feel the pressure at Manchester United after the Red Devils required penalties to get past League One Rochdale in the League Cup.

According to the same story, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy doesn’t want Pochettino to leave Spurs after seeing off interest from Real Madrid and Chelsea FC in the South American.

The report goes on to state that the Red Devils hierarchy are convinced that Pochettino wants to leave the north London side following five seasons in charge.

The Sun report adds that Manchester United have been interested in Pochettino since before Louis van Gaal’s appointment as David Moyes’ replacement back in 2014.

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are level on eight points in the Premier League table following their respective difficult starts to the season.

Spurs suffered a surprise loss to League Two side Colchester United on penalties in the League Cup third round in mid-week.
